چکیده

Background: No-reflow is a serious complication that can occur during primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for acute myocardial infarction (AMI). frequent event (AMI), and it may affect cardiac prognosis. Objectives: The main objective of the study to find effect no-reflow on six-month mortality. Methods: This was conducted at Ayub Teaching Hospital Abbottabad over period six months (1st January 2022 30th June 2022). A total 130 patients who underwent PCI AMI were included. occurrence procedure noted, mortality recorded. Results: Of included in study, 34 (26.2%) developed PPCI. mean age 58.5 ± 9.6 years, 73.8% male. most common risk factors hypertension (52.3%), smoking (45.4%), diabetes (36.2%). There no significant differences baseline clinical angiographic characteristics between with without no-reflow. Conclusions: associated higher rate. Further research needed explore strategies prevent or mitigate AMI. Keywords: AMI, No-reflow, Mortality,

No-Reflow Phenomenon in Patients with ST-Elevation Acute Myocardial Infarction, Treated with Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Study of Predictive Factors

Introduction: No-reflow phenomenon in coronary vessels, manifested in some patients with reperfused acute myocardial infarction (MI), is associated with poor clinical and functional outcomes. Therefore, evaluation of predisposing risk factors can be helpful in risk assessment and identification of patients at higher risk. Herein, we aimed to study the predictive factors for the development of...

Acute Profound Thrombocytopenia after Using Abciximab for No-Reflow during Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention for ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction

Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa antagonists are well established for their effectiveness in improving clinical outcomes in acute coronary syndrome patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention. Acute profound thrombocytopenia is a rare complication of abciximab. We present a case which was managed successfully for the rare complication of acute profound thrombocytopenia after using abciximab and...

Predictors and outcome of no-reflow post primary percutaneous coronary intervention for ST elevation myocardial infarction

BACKGROUND No-reflow (TIMI < 3) during primary PCI (PCI) for STEMI occurs in 11-41% of cases, indicates poor myocardial tissue perfusion, and is associated with a poor outcome. We aimed to determine predictors and 12 month outcomes of patients who developed no-reflow. METHODS We analysed the PCI database of The Canberra Hospital and identified 781 patients who underwent primary PCI during 200...

Platelet-To-Lymphocyte Ratio as a Predictor of No-Reflow after Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in Patients with ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Introduction: No-reflow increases the complications and mortality rate of primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Therefore, it is important to identify patients at a higher risk of developing no-reflow. This study aimed to systematically review the prognostic value of the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) to predict no-reflow. Materials and Methods:</s...
